Tutor time at Headlands Sixth Form looks different to what you may expect.

Students are allocated a staff mentor that will hold a 1:1 meeting with each student under their care each week to discuss any and all pastoral or academic concerns. These staff act as a liaison between the student, home, and subject teachers to ensure that each member of the Sixth Form is cared for and receive individualised guidance and support at all times.

This staff mentor will also lead the PSHE sessions for each student, ensuring that Year 12’s are able to settle in and flourish in the Sixth Form and that Year 13s are fully prepared for the wider world when they leave us.
