Welcome to the Headlands Sixth Form

As Director of Sixth Form at Headlands, I have the very privileged position of working with an amazing group of students. Watching the young people in the Sixth Form develop and mature into the well qualified, confident young adults they become by the time they move on from us is wonderful.

Our students move on to Universities, some of them to Oxbridge or Russell Group if that’s what they aspire to, and many other excellent HE institutions. Some students plan exciting gap years before progressing to university and some go straight into apprenticeships or employment.

If you want more information about what Headlands School Sixth Form has to offer you or your child, please do not hesitate to get in touch and we can discuss their options.

16-19 Tuition Funding

At Headlands School Sixth Form, we have put the extra funding received as part of the 16-19 Tuition Fund to use by providing a tutor to assist students in both Year 12 and 13 whose learning was disrupted by the COVID-19 lockdown.

The tutor will work with small groups and individuals to bridge any gaps in understanding required to access their chosen Level 3 courses, focusing mainly on the key science skills required for our new BTEC level 3 courses in Health and Social Care and Applied Science.
