Headlands School is committed to providing all students with impartial and effective careers guidance.
- We have purchased specialist impartial adviser time from GP Associates to enable all year 9 and 10 students a guidance appointment each year and then targeted appointments for Year 11, 12 and 13 students.
- Our Level 6 in Careers Guidance qualified Support Services Assistant works with students identified by the SENCO as requiring support as well as other disadvantaged students.
- ERYC SEND adviser works with students with EHCP in year 11.
- The Careers Leader is also level 6 trained in careers guidance and discusses aspirations and next steps with students regularly.
- Along with this Level 6 trained advice, all members of staff are available to students to discuss next steps and aspirations and all students meet regularly with the Senior Leadership Team to discuss their aspirations and pathways.
- All students have at least six encounters with external providers through their time at Headlands.
